Human Leukocyte Antigens (HLA) play a key role in the development of severe immune-mediated adverse drug reactions. HLA-B*1502 is one of the HLA-B locus types. Studies have shown that HLA-B*1502 alleles is strongly correlation with severe skin adverse reactions caused by carbamazepine.
People with the genetic marker HLA-B*1502 have a much higher risk of severe drug eruption and exfoliative dermatitis (SJS/TEN) taking carbamazepine. Therefore, by detecting whether the HLA-B*1502 allele is carried, the risk of SJS/TEN induced by allopurinol in patients can be reduced.
The TianLong Human HLA-B*1502 Gene Nucleic Acid Detection Kit is intended for the qualitative detection of HLA-B*1502 gene nucleic acid by Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (Real-time RT-PCR) method. The test is designed to detect the HLA-B*1502 gene in the genomic DNA of human peripheral blood samples.
